The recent murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and the loss of countless Black lives at the hands of those sworn to serve, have mobilized Americans and people around the world to take to the streets and demand justice. These protests are not new, but something feels different this time.

A recent Monmouth University Poll tells us that “76 percent of Americans — including 71 percent of white people — believe that racism and discrimination is 'a big problem' in the United States." That’s a 26-percentage-point spike since 2015. We’re more aligned than ever before around the need to address racial injustice, with individuals, communities and organizations around the world raising their voices in solidarity with #blacklivesmatter.

This conversation explores our past history of racial oppression, the present realities of ongoing institutional injustice, and what changes are necessary to turn this moment into a movement for true racial equity.

We are excited to partner with Civic Dinners and connect with our Rebel Women again. We hope you all join us as we navigate this very important conversation on the evening of September 23!
